just a quick post to get something off my chest. now i know that this world is full of many people who have similar ideas. but don't you just hate it when you go out of your way to be different, make something your own and someone imitates it???
well i do. i try do different things not only on my blog but just as a person. it's almost like i make a certain brand sooo when you see something you'll say: "thas gotta be rob's work." or "thas something only robin would do."
well, its kinda hard to do when you have people who aren't original, can't be cool unless they act like you, or are just plain lazy.
take my blog for instance. it is: 'if r o b i n ruled the world.' i took time to think of something that could uniquely represent me and the so to speak "brand" i produce. now i'm not gone throw any shots but i'll just say some people like this "world ruling" concept soo much they took a spin off it.
sooo let's just set the record straight. my blog might say "if" robin ruled the world. but I RULE THE WORLD. okay, lemme stop. i'm being kinda childish && i don't wanna hurt anyone's feelings.
but hey, if you feel offended when reading this i'm probably talking about you. oooor you probably feel guilty for spinning off of other people's/blogger's "brand" or originality.
so because of this today's food for thought is a quote: "there comes a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance, that imitation is suicide, that he must take himself for better, or for worse as his portion." -raplh waldo emerson. he couldn't have said that any better. you have to be YOU. for better or worse. i can't help it if you're not cool. . .haa. but seriously you have to use your own essence to be cool. or matter of fact make your own "cool". there is a difference between admiration && imitation.
mann, i should be a philosopher..haa.
anywhoo. before i go i'd like to share the essence of my "brand" or really the essence or Robin.
my myspace my theme: "rob.[idk, but. . .idc.]" simply using what most people call me && the philosophy i have to use daily.
my facebook is simply my name: "robin r. campbell" i never write my name without my middle initial.
my twitter is: "twitter.com/theycallmerob" which is pretty self explanitory.
&& of course, the blog which i love sooo dearly is: ifrobinruledtheworld.com because i DO rule the world. . .[insert evil laugh here] hahahahahaha.
well now that i got that off my chest. . .i'll probably blog within the next few days about my random happenings && crisis intervention training i had today.
if?? i do rule the world!
