as august draws to a close, i have three days until i move to hampton university !!! because things were beginning to spill out of my room . . . .

i decided it was time to start packing !!!!

&& now my room is nice && tidy. it looks like this now.

in other news i finally got what i've been waiting && asking for since the beginning of my senior year, my MacBook Pro !!!!!!

can't you just see the excitement in my face ?? it is only the greatest computer ever. i absolutely ♥ it so far, although there is a lot of learning to do when you've been a "pc" all your life. lol.

this past weekend i went with my best friend in the whole wide world to help her move in at college. christian is now attending virginia tech !! i'm soo proud of her !! so the main topic of today's post is: "The Many Adventures at Va Tech".

Day 1:

it all started with a six hour drive!!! there was some traffic that made it that long.

but the view was amazing. this was my first time going to va tech && seeing the sights along the way.

when we finally got there the moving in process began. it was pretty simple. after that,

we got up with Steve[Christian's bf]!!!! He got an apartment, so we went to go check it out. It was too funny because. . .

his apartment complex looks just like london oaks in portsmouth!!! i'ma have to get another pic to show you the uncanny similarity.

so in between all of that we went to the movies to see "the ugly truth". it was good !! after eating, more chilling, && etc. Christian && I headed back to her dorm. soon we called it a night.

Day 2:

day two started off with a little tour/exploring of the campus. look what i found. . .

later that day we met Christian's roommate Megumi. We call her Meg tho !! We went to this beach party thing for one reason, FOOD!! lol.

we also ran into a friend from high school, Jamonte !!!

once we got our food we went to check out a soccer game. they were playing william && mary, i think.

even the clouds looked like mountains, lol. but it was sooo pretty.

on the way back from the soccer games i went to use the restroom && somehow the next thing i know we're in a dorm room where this girl knows every word that lil wayne spat out of their speakers. i can't seem to remember her name. . .

well anyway, her && her friends were heading to some party.

they were taking a walk on the wild side. soo christian && i thought we'd do something else. something i thought was much more funn.

eat !!! i'm such a fat butttt! either way i enjoyed the food && after eating we headed back to Christian's room to call it a night.

Day 3:

Sooo we went to a breakfast buffet at this place called Sharkey's. Then Christian had a meeting so I was stuck with the boys, lol.

i went to this poster sale they were having on campus. found a campbell soup can poster. definitely going in my dorm room.

so day three was the last day i would spend on my adventure. i found myself soon saying not goodbye but see you later to my ride or die. i do know one thing though, this trip had SOO MUCH WALKING !! lol. we made the journey home. on the way we stopped at the scenic view. mountains/hills as far as you can see. . .

soon i was back home where my macbook was waiting for me !!! i was soo giddy. haa.

well that concludes the adventures. i'll give you all some food for thought next time. but today's random array isn't so random. pics from my adventure. enjoy !! or not.

hey thereee. so i just got finished painting my finger nails && thought i'd hop on the cpu && blog. i painted my nails blue && green, go figure. my toes are pink && yellow.

well its about a week && a half until i move in at hampton, my room gets junkier by the day. i organized some of it thooo.

the other day i began to work on one of my newer hobbies, scrapbooking. its pretty funn, yet time consuming.

as i was looking for stuff to put in my scrapbook, i ran across an old diary i had in like 2005. omg !! had some pretty hilarious ish in it, to say the least.

anywhoo i normally blog on mondays, but i was busy this past monday. doing what you say ?? i'm glad you asked !! well i inspired my ride or die, christian to get braids. soooo she wanted me to go with her while she got this 6-8 hr. hairstyle. being the great friend i am. . . .

i happily accepted her invitation && accompanied her on her endaevor, =)). but really, i didn't mind.

especially since she did a wonderful job of keeping me company !!!

hahaha, naw she didn't sleep the whole time. but she did give me some broke headphones to listen to my ipod with !!! thank GOD her momma brought christian her new iphone. with brand new WORKING headphones. haa.

to top off matters, christian && i were STARVING !!! then this fat girl had the nerve to order a whole LARGE pizza. but it gets better. she ate the whole pizza by herself, not even thinking to offer anybody some.

it was okay tho. . .her ol ugly busted g1 having, but anywhoo after hours of watching african channels, smelling pizza, feeling like passing out, christian && i staring at each other, && smelling like africa when i left, Christian's hair came out beautiful !!!!

kanye did say the requirement was inspirement !!!! the things you do, ONLY for my ride or die. i love you christian l. hawthorne, =).

today's food for thought: don't you just hate the feeling you get when you invest your time/feelings in something && get little or NO return ?? it could be a person, relationship, job, or even just a simple project. i personally get frustrated when you put timee && effort into something that shows no progress, interest, or success. smh. all i can say is move on before you invest too much time, but most importantly feelings...!!
